Arts Connect is pleased to welcome our new Development Manager, Kendahl Bermudez. Kendahl comes to Arts Connect Houston from a background in dance education and arts administration. We are so excited Kendahl is bringing her expertise, passion, and commitment to arts accessibility and community engagement to our collective.

Arts Connect is pleased to announce that Meggie Monahan has formally been named Director of Partnerships and Learning. We are excited that Meggie will continue in this role, having previously come on board to Arts Connect as Interim Director of Partnerships and Learning, and are grateful for the support and mission-driven energy she brings to our team.

We are delighted to share we have been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts for a Grants for Arts Projects award. Big news for the Arts Connect collective! Jack McBride has been selected to serve as our new executive director. We are thrilled to officially welcome Jack to the collective and to the M-AAA community in this new capacity. With Jack's background and his passion to ensure every child has access to the arts, our collective and its work is in very good hands.

“Young people have so little control over their lives,” says Jack McBride, executive director of Arts Connect Houston (ACH). “But with art, there’s no right or wrong answer. With art, they are empowered. Art, and a high-quality arts education, gives children agency. And that’s something our children can take with them and remember forever.”
